It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

Finally, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given a platform to deliver her newest gem.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was dismissed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
