Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down following standard procedures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence is not the first time that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
